What is a MDF & why do i need a tech?
If you live in an apartment or unit or there are multiple business' in your building , chances are you will require a private communications technician to help connect your telephone socket to the outside world.
The Main Distribution Frame or MDF is what connects a multi-dwelling building to the carrier's network.
All cabling on the street side of the "MDF" is the responsibility of the carrier or service provider to maintain. This is known as the "A-side"
All cabling on the client side of the "MDF" is known as the "B-Side"
A licenced and registered technician is required to carry out all work on the MDF and internal cabling on the "B-Side"
It helps if the technician you choose is equipped with the right equipment, is insured, and is available. To book one in please complete the form below.
